On June 19, 2009 a team of employees from Ives Insurance Brokers Ltd. participated in this year's Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life which took place at the Windsor Campground in Windsor, Ontario.

 

The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is an overnight non-competitive relay that celebrates cancer survivors and pays tribute to loved ones. It's a night of fun, friendship and fundraising to beat cancer.

 

Our team "Chicks For A Cure" was very excited to  participate because we wanted to help support a great cause, commemorate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back in the hope of finding a cure for this terrible disease.

 

"Chicks for a Cure" would like to thank everyone who helped us exceed our goal for this years Relay For Life. Our team raised a total of $4,570.00. The Windsor Relay for Life although being very rainy; has raised over $275,000. All of the money raised will be going towards cancer research and local community services.

 

Team members and other Ives employees are looking forward to supporting this great cause again in the future.
